Mirror Lake Loop Trail
Total Distance: 6 miles
On the second to last day of 2013, Chris and I hiked in Yosemite National Park with friends who came to visit. The park was buzzing with activity as if it were summer: parking lots were full, buses were standing room only, lots of people were out hiking on the trails, and there was a forty minute wait for lunch at the Ahwahnee bar.

None of that stopped us from enjoying the surroundings as we made our way over the icy trail, through shallow snow and around the frigid Mirror Lake.

Hiking in Yosemite was the perfect ending to a stressful year.

Happy New Year!
Nice! I had forgotten all about this hike. You weren’t kidding, the trail really was frozen.
