Yosemite in White

February 21, 2013
Clark Range View Trail, Yosemite National Park
Total distance walked:  4 miles

The morning sun shone as the two of us crunched through the snowy forest on the Clark Range View Trail. Snowshoeing in Yosemite is a unique way to experience the park’s serene winter beauty.

The Clark Range View Trail is an out-and-back route. On that day, the temperature was a brisk 35 degrees. Despite the cold, we decided to try snowshoeing, thinking it would be enjoyable. However, we quickly realized it’s quite laborious and not as simple as hiking.

Nevertheless, the challenge made the adventure even more memorable, and the breathtaking winter scenery was well worth the effort.
