What a glorious day and photos! I am hopeful I will see some fall colors next week around Bishop. Just getting out in Nature will be great. Thanks for letting me tag along on this hike.
Love the fall photos. We just returned from 3 days in Mammoth. While being home always fills my soul, we were so sad to find such deep layers of smoke across Bishop, Mammoth and really up the entire Owen’s Valley. There were some beautiful fall colors around Mammoth, June Lake and Convict Lake. Although at the higher elevations they are starting to fade and the leaves are falling from the Aspens.
Thank you for sharing all the stunning colors the season gifts us with.
Oh, so sad about the smoke. I love the area you visited. We haven’t had a chance to get over there yet, and by the time we do, the leaves will be gone. This time of the year always creeps up on us and we always miss getting to the east side in time for fall colors.
Just beautiful! Even here in Mid Missouri we have the ‘changing of the guard’. The fall colours are my favorite!!

Hi Ellen. Yosemite Valley isn’t really known for its fall color. But that one tree isn’t indigenous so it’s always pretty every fall.

Fall is my favourite time of the year!! Trying to enjoy the outdoors as much as I can before snow arrives.

Me too, although we don’t get near the snowfall you do.

Why are trees very forgiving?
Because in the Fall they “Let It Go” and in the Spring they “turn over a new leaf”.

Oh…if families could be like trees. 😉
